Job Details
  • Daily pay rate starting at $661.32 for 12-hour shift
  • Paid travel from home airport to work location and back (anywhere in the Continental U.S.).
  • 21 days on/21 days off rotation
  • Reports to Vessel Captain

Job duties:

  • Stand watchkeeping duties
  • Assist and oversee safe navigation of the vessel
  • Perform maintenance and inspections (8-hour bridge watch, 4-hour inspections, etc.)
  • Ensure proper risk assessments are conducted before starting tasks
  • Issue and communicate appropriate orders, verifying that specified Safety Management System (SMS) requirements are observed
  • Monitor and ensure safety and pollution prevention during operations
  • Effectively communicate with traffic around the dredge
  • Direct and instruct the drag tender on proper loading and dumping of dredge materials
  • Document, report and maintain operation logs
  • Inspect lifesaving and firefighting equipment aboard the dredge
  • Assist the dredge captain and field personnel with tasks to maximize production and minimize operational downtime
  • Supervise and assist the deck crew performing maintenance duties during periods when the dredge is in an idle status
  • Follow company and work site safety policies and procedures
Total Compensation/Perks
- Daily pay rate starting at $661.32 for 12-hour shift
- Paid travel from home airport to work location and back (anywhere in the Continental U.S.).
- 21 days on/21 days off rotation
- Per diem paid for travel days: $45 per diem on travel day into assignment, $45 per diem plus 12 hours pay on travel day out from assignment
- Live on board
- Work location close to shore
Incentives and Bonuses
$3,000 Sign-on Bonus: Eligibility begins after the employee returns for their third rotation, $1,000 is paid per rotation until bonus is met

$2,100 Referral Bonus: Eligibility begins after the referred employee returns for their third rotation, $700 is paid per rotation until bonus is met.

Referral must be employed for the duration of bonus payout period.

Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years of marine experience
- Working knowledge of ship operations related to regulatory compliance with the United States Coast Guard (USCG), American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)
- Working knowledge of a Safety Management System (SMS) per International Safety Management (ISM) Code
- Ability to research, analyze and interpret OSHA, USCG, EPA and United States Army Corp of Engineers (USACE) regulations
- Proficient skills in standard Microsoft Office Suite
- Supervisory experience preferred
- Ability to live aboard the vessel for full rotation (21 days on/21 days off) with adjustments as necessary
- Willingness and ability to travel
- Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing
- Possess all valid credentials and ensure they are within a minimum of six months from expiration

TWIC
Valid Driver’s License, preferred
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to tolerate rough seas, vibrations, heat, harsh weather conditions, confined spaces and high noise levels
- Ability to push, pull, bend, or stand for long periods and climb ladders
- Must be able to lift or carry miscellaneous equipment, supplies, and parts, up to 50 lbs. unassisted
