Port Engineer


Responsibilities

• Preparation, submission, and management of maintenance budget costs for assigned equipment.
• Management of all equipment records, including technical data, maintenance requisitions, and company work orders.
• Coordination of maintenance with Weeks operations and technical personnel, as well as outside vendors, for price negotiations, contract management, and quality control.


Location: East and Gulf Coasts
Reports To: Equipment Manager

Requirements

• High School Diploma. BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or a Maritime Academy graduate is preferred.
• Qualified applicants must have a minimum of 5 years experience in the marine industry, shipyard management, equipment maintenance management, or equivalent.
• Familiarity with hydraulic systems, A/C and D/C electrical systems, and hands on experience with diesel engines; the ability to travel frequently and strong computer and organizational skills also required.
