Master of Towing Vessels


Responsibilities

• Navigate vessel in rivers, inland waterways, and canals by properly steering controllers, throttles, radar compasses, depth finders, load hailers, and other equipment. Use radio communication and vision to navigate waterwayws, docks, locks, and other vessel traffic.
• Train, supervise, and evaluate crew members based on efficient performance of duties.
• Supervise and assist in cleaning and maintenance of boat and tow; the loading, transport, and discharging of cargo. Complete routine engine room maintenance such as checking and changing oil filters.
• Keep proper and accurate documentation pertaining to vessel, such as the towing log.


Location: East and Gulf Coasts
Reports To: Dredge Captain
Work Schedule: 14/7 or 28/14

Requirements

• Master of Towing Endorsement, minimum 100 ton (near coastal) with radar endorsement, and FCC Radio Operators Permit.
• Dredging experience preferred.
• Must be able to travel.
